A list of the little things
will miss
- authors/books only available here (authors like Jaqueline Wilson, Enid Blyton, series like Dirtie Bertie)
- Haribo
- bike/train commute to work
- morning coffee break
- walking to school
- farm fresh eggs (no need to have chickens at home)
- no tipping at pub
Won't miss
- separate hot and cold water taps
- having to plan for hot water by setting a timer on the boiler
- no free ATMs, charges for every card use
- unadvertised events, leagues- most everything seems to be word of mouth
- school projects sent home with verbal instructions only
- wind (would be great if I were a windsurfer...)

Cost Plus has a lot of Haribo... I missed authors after NZ too. You might be able to get them on Canada Amazon as they seemed to be british commonwealth distributed. We're looking forward to seeing if you keep up your pace of exploring surroundings!
ReplyDeleteI agree, you can find some of the products if you know where to look. We have a UK store here that I visit occasionally. Now it's time for you to start touring your own country--every state is different and has much to offer. We used to do the Eastern USA with you when you were a kid, battle fields, factories, museums, etc., and now take a different route every time we visit you out West. Have even traveled Route 66, didn't think that would ever happen, and wasn't at all like the movie, but new sights and different customs. Also discovered that you can order from Amazon UK and have delivered here (got a pair of shoes that way after you introduced me to Amazon UK).
